Tour Guidelines and Requirements

1. Israel Currency 1 Shekel = Rs.12 approximately 4 Shekel = $1. No need of changing dollars into Shekels
2. Since we are given 1 night free stay in Cairo with dinner & lavish breakfast at the hotel and again Breakfast on the flight to Israel, you may pack a part of the breakfast for your lunch for the afternoon on Sunday.
3. Climate in Jerusalem varies from 27-32 degrees centigrade. Normal clothing with Sweaters, can be worn.
4. Please refrain from wearing heavy Gold ornaments specially the Hanging Type.
   Each person is responsible for ones own luggage. Please put a YELLOW COLOUR Ribbon on the handleof your bags & lock securely which you can collect from the conveyor belt at Tel-Aviv & Bombay Airport on arrival Please do carry a bag which you can carry yourself as there are no porters & no portage charges.
5. Please carry empty bottles to bring back water from Mary’s Well. Please do not carry water from River Jordan or the Dead Sea as it is very dangerous. Israel’s water is portable, you can collect from the Hotel for drinking.
6. Those who wish to have early morning tea may carry their Thermos Flask, tea bags etc.& take hotel hot water
7. Carry all you medication & take it in time. If your a diabetic carry your insulin in an ice box, as ice is available.
8. The car driving in Israel is on the right side unlike left side in India, one has to take extra precaution while crossing roads. Always be in groups of 4 or 5 while crossing roads & look either way for fast cars.
9. Please use rubber sole shoes or flat shoes for walking as the pavements are slippery.
10. Instructions from the Guide are very important, you have to report in time when advised to do so. Failure to report after 5 minutes grace, whether individual or groups will compel the driver to drive to the next Shrines as per the Itinerary. You may join us at the next stop of the Itinerary at your own expense. This is done to avoid inconvenience to others who would like to complete the days tour. Incase you want to spend some more extra time at a particular Shrine, you may inform us.
11. Kindly carry an alarm clock to wake up in time. Please carry a plastic mug incase you can’t use the shower.
12. Please carry offerings, candles, Bibles, pens, notebooks. Religious articles like Rosaries, Crosses are very expensive, the ones taken from here can be blessed & brought back.
    We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any valuable, cash or any important item which are not deposited with the Management of the Hotel for safe keeping. Please inform us while keeping it with hotel.
13. Although the Hotels provide Lavish Buffet Breakfast you can have to your hearts content, BUT ONE IS NOT PERMITTED TO CARRY ANY ITEM FROM THE TABLE & PUT IN THEIR BAG. Bus or to their Room. As we will have lunch only on 3 days – provision can be made to have lunch at less than the normal rates of the hotel. Nor you are allowed to use water, liquor, cold drinks etc from the fridge of the hotel provided by the Egypt Air.
14. SINCE THE A.C [AIR CONDITON] COACH WILL BE OUR DAY TIME HOME FOR 5 DAYS, WE REQUEST YOU TO KEEP IT CLEAN & TIDY & NOT TO HAVE SNACKS INSIDE THE COACH SPECIALLY, CHANNA, CHEWDA, BISCUITS ETC.
15. In case you are a Vegetarian, please inform us before booking the ticket so that we can inform the Airline.
16. Please avoid buying articles from Hawkers, as they may give you a defective piece a little cheaper than the shops. Avoid showing Wads of currency notes to strangers or while shopping as you may be robbed.
17. Please mark your $50 & $100 notes at the same place for identification as they can be switched forduplicate notes by unscrupulous shopkeepers.
18. Incase you get lost, please phone the Guide on his Mobile or catch a taxi at your own cost and go to our hotel.
19. Please carry your swimming clothes & towel incase we get a chance to swim in the Dead Sea. We are not permitted to carry away Cutlery Sets, Blankets or Towels from THE AIRCRAFT, OR THE HOTEL.
20. Since we are going to spend a night at Cairo while going to Israel & coming back to Cairo while returning as our checked in baggage will go straight to Israel from Mumbai, Please carry a overnight bag with your night clothes, and a set of other clothes if you wish to change for the River Nile Cruise accompanied by Dinner & entertainment the same has to be done while returning from Tel-Aviv to Cairo to Proceed to Mumbai etc.
21. Avoid grumbling & spoiling others mood, if you have any problem, please inform the tour leader personally.
22. Since the Airline gives us complementary accommodation for 1night,sometimes less rooms are allotted than actually required, in which case your co-operation is solicited to accommodate ladies & gents in separate rooms.
23. Please do not pick up things that do not belong to you, do not carry any parcels for delivery in Israel or vice versa to Bombay, as it can land you in unwanted SERIOUS trouble and we will not be able to help you.
24. Since the flight is of 7 hours duration, you are advised to move about the Aisle at least once every hour in order to avoid cramps & other medical problems. Please drink plenty of water, this is good specially for Senior Citizens.
25. Please carry Indian Rupees for your Taxi Fare etc, when you land in MUMBAI.
    If any problem arises, please speak to the Tour Leader directly, others should not Interfere.
    As we have a group visa for Israel, no one is allowed to leave the group without taking a copy of the Visa.
26. While checking at the Airline counter , see that only 1 coupon is torn from the jacket for each sector.
27. SHOPPING IN ISRAEL, you can shop for good quality diamonds, precious stones etc, free of taxes & in EGYPT, you can buy pure essence of perfumes which are exported to various countries., Egypt is also cheap to buy good chocolates made under collaboration of Swiss and other International Companies. Cairo airport is the cheapest for buying duty free items. We found many religious items much cheaper in OUR MOTHER MARY’S CHURCH’S SHOP IN CAIRO. PLEASE KEEP SOME DOLLARS FOR THESE PURCHASES AND SOME PLACE IN YOUR BAG. Incase you miss the flight for whatever reason the tour organizer shall not be liable to refund any proportion of the fare paid & neither is he obliged to stay back & help the person who has missed the flight DUE TO NEGLIGENCE.
28. There is no compulsion for you to buy from any store when we go shopping. It is observed that certain things are cheaper and certain thing costly at most of the stores. The OPTIONAL TOURS are extra and have to be Paid. These are the CABLE RIDE TO THE MOUNT OF TEMPTATION IN JERICHO $ 8/-AND THE 2 HOURS NILE DINNER CRUISE WITH ENTERTAINMENT $ 25/- PER PERSON.
29. IT IS NOTICED THAT CERTAIN PERSONS ACT VERY STINGY AND DO NOT BUY THINGS OR JOIN THE OPTIONAL TOURS BUT DISCOURAGE PERSONS WHO HAVE MADE PURCHASES OR HAVE JOINED SUCH TOURS BY GIVING ADVERSE REMARKS AND DISCOURAGING THEM. PLEASE IGNORE THE ADVICE OF SUCH PERSONS AND INFORM US.
30. IN CASE ANY PERSON DELAYS THE TOUR WITH SOME EXCUSE THEY WILL HAVE TO DONATE $10 TO ANY CHURCH.
31. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING TO SAUDI ARABIA, KUWAIT, IRAQ. OR IRAN, AVOID GETTING YOURPASSPORT STAMPED IN ISRAEL. ISRAEL EMIGRATION STAMP WILL FACILATE YOU TO GET USA AND OTHER VISAS.
32. NOTE: INDIVIDUALS JOINING THE TOUR WILL BE ACCOMMODATED 3 IN A ROOM FOR SECURITY PURPOSE.
    FILM ROLLS ARE EXPENSIVE IN ISRAEL. PLEASE CARRY THEM FROM MUMBAI ITSELF.
    PLEASE DO NOT CARRY SCISSORS, NAIL CUTTERS, PEN KNIFE, AEROSOL SPRAYS IN YOUR HAND BAGGAGE
    PLEASE CARRY DRINKING WATER FROM THE DINNING ROOM DURING BREAKFAST TO AVOID BUYING WATER.
    CUSTOMS: WHILST RETURNING TO MUMBAI YOU CAN CARRY RS 12,000/- WORTH OF THINGS,1 LITRE OF WHISKY OR WINE AND 1 CARTON OF CIGARETTES TO BE INCLUDED IN THE FREE ALLOWANCE.
    PLEASE HELP THE OLDER PILGRIMS TO GET IN & ALIGHT FROM THE BUS ETC.
    NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO RESERVE ANY SEATS IN THE BUS. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR SEATS EVERY TIME.
    LADIES CAN USE SARI, SALWAR KAMEEZ OR ANY OTHER DECENT DRESS WHILE VISITING THE SHRINES.
    OVER SEAS MEDICAL INSURANCE IS COMPULSORY QUITE OFTEN PERSONS SLIP OR FALL SICK ETC.,THE ABOVE OVERSEAS COVERS (IN US DOLLARS)
33. 1. MEDICAL EXPENSES, EVACUATION & REPATRIATION – 2,50,000 (DEDUCTIBLES 100), 2. EMERGENCY DENTAL COVER – 225, 3. PERSONAL ACCIDENT DEATH – 25,000/-, 4. LOSS OF BAGGAGE – CHECKED 1000, 5. DELAY OF BAGGAGE (MORE THAN 12 HOURS) -100, 6. LOSS OF PASSPORT – 250 (DEDUCTIBLES 25), 7. PERSONAL LIABILITY 2,00,000 (DEDUCTIBLES 100), 8. TRIP CANCELLATION/TRIP CURTAILMENT 1000 (DEDUCTIBLES 100), 9. MISSED CONNECTION 1000 (DEDUCTIBLES 10%) 10. BOUNCED HOTEL / AIRLINE BKG 1000 (DEDUCTIBLES 1%).
34. IF YOU HAVE YOUR OLD DOLLARS OR OTHER CURRENCY BUT IT IS COMPULSORY TO STAMP $ OF THE TOUR.
35. WATER FROM THE WASH BASIN TAP IN THE HOTEL IS PORTABLE AND CAN BE DRUNK AS IT IS FILTERED BY THE HOTEL.
36. OUT OF YOUR KINDNESS CARRY SNACKS, BISCUITS , [MAGGIE NOODLES ETC] CHILDREN'S CLOTHES, TOYS, SHOES, Etc FOR THE POOR IN ISRAEL.
37. IF YOU LOOSE YOUR LUGGAGE AT ANY AIRPORT, YOU WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW BOTH, THE AIRLINE CONCERNED AND THE INSURANCE COMPANIES FOR THE CLAIM.
